Replacement of the following signals: MS 518, MS 519, MS 520, MS 521, MS 522 and MS 524 in South Burlington along US 7. Contract C2 will include the 6 “Northern” Signals that need new Mast Arms, controllers etc. to run ATSPM’s

Project Location: Beginning at the intersection of US Route 7 and McIntosh Avenue and continuing north to the intersection of US Route 7 and Swift Street.

Project Description: Replacement of the traffic signals at the intersections of US Route 7 and McIntosh Avenue, Baldwin Avenue, Laurel Hill Road, Brewer Parkway, Queen City Park Road, and Swift Street in South Burlington.  The project will be replacing the existing traffic signal span wires with mast arm poles, installing new signal heads, new traffic signal cabinets and controllers, emergency pre-emption systems, vehicle detection, pedestrian signal equipment, luminaires, and other signal equipment.

Traffic Impact: Work requiring a lane closure or requiring the traffic signal to be off or in flash will be performed overnight to reduce the impact to the travelling public during the day.
