FAIRLEE-ST. JOHNSBURY BRIDGE BR#55N

IM 091-2(88) Fairlee

Rehabilitation of several bridges, incl. pavement and and minor deck repairs for several bridges (northbound and southbound) located on I-91 between Fairlee and St. Johnsbury.

This maintenance project addresses numerous bridge decks that are generally in good shape, but are beginning to show signs of leakage and deterioration.  Superstrucures and substructures are all generally in good shape.  If this leakage and deterioration is arrested now, the decks, superstructures, and substructures will provide many more years of service with minimal maintenance.

Maintanence activities planned include deck surface rehabilitiation, joint repair or replacement, minor curb and fascia repair, membrane, and pavement.

Traffic will be maintained by keeping a minimum of one lane open at all times.  In one case, St. Johnsbury Br 83, where there is an entrance ramp to be rehabilitated, the entrance ramp may be closed for a short period of time during the work.  Traffic will be expected to find alternate routes.

This project will be advertised and constructed as two seperate projects; one including the 8 bridges clustered close together in Bradford, and the other including the other 8.
