STPG SGNL(50) West Rutland

Improvements to MS 316 located at the intersection of BUS 4 and VT 4A in West Rutland. Improvements to include new mast arms, Econolite TS2 cabinet w/Cobalt controller, stop bar detection and retroreflective back plates.

PROJECT LOCATION:  Intersection of US Route 4 (BUS) & VT Route 4A in West Rutland.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is improving the signalized intersection to improve mobility and safety while upgrading obsolete and dysfunctional traffic signal equipment.  The project will:

  • Modernize all traffic signal equipment including: traffic signal controller, signal heads and support structures and vehicle detection systems.
  • Replace the existing power supply.
  • Refresh traffic signal-related pavement markings and signs.
