This project is along VT Route 100 in the Towns of Stowe and Morristown. The project limits extend from the Town of Stowe about 900 ft south of the West Hill Road intersection on VT Route 100 into Morristown and ends on Historic VT-100, just past the intersection of LaPorte Road & ALT Route 100.Project Description:
Stowe-Morristown STP PS19(3) is a roadway reclamation project on VT Route 100 in Stowe and Morristown. Full Depth Reclamation (FDR) is a process of recycling the existing pavement and using it to form the base layer for the new roadway-wear surface.
Work to be performed under this project includes coarse milling, reclaiming (FDR), correcting superelevation deficiencies, roadway grading with new gravel, resurfacing with intermediate and wearing courses of pavement, pavement markings, signage, guardrail, drainage and other highway related items.
Project Timeline:
Construction began in spring 2020. During the 2020 season, reclamation work was conducted in Stowe and Morristown and the Randolph Road intersection in Stowe was realigned with VT Route 100.
In 2021, reclamation work will continue in Stowe and Morristown, and the final wearing surface will be completed in summer 2021. A temporary traffic signal will be installed at bridge #210 in Stowe along VT Route 100 over Moss Glen Brook. Motorists can expect alternating traffic patterns and delays throughout the project limits until project completion in late summer 2021. Night work is not anticipated.
