RECONSTRUCTION OF US7 IN PITTSFORD, SEGMENT 1: BEGINNING 2.203 KM NORTH OF THE RUTLAND PITTSFORD TOWN LINE AND EXTENDING NORTHERLY 2.205 KM. WORK INCLUDES GRADING AND DRAINAGE.

Pittsford NH 019-3(491) is Segment One of Six of the Pittsford-Brandon corridor reconstruction to bring the roadway up to National Highway System Standards.  This project consists of the Full-Depth reconstruction of approximately 2.193 kilometers (1.36 Miles) of US Route 7 beginning just North of Sangamon Road and extending to a point just South of the US Route 7 and VT Route 3 intersection.  The roadway will be widened to include 3.6-meter (12-foot) lanes and 2.4-meter (8-foot) shoulders.

There is currently a Southbound truck climbing lane, starting just South of the US-7 and VT-3 intersection, that will be extended Southward 310-meters (1,017 feet) to a point just North of Mountain View Drive.  In addition, three(3) concrete box culverts will be installed as well as many drainage features.

It is anticipated that construction for this project will consist of two(2) full construction seasons.

A temporary two-way detour will be constructed through the length of the project with speeds reduced to 40mph while the project is under construction.  Additional speed reductions may be necessary during construction of the concrete box culverts.
