Paving on I89 from Waterbury MM 63 to Richmond MM 78.6 SB including ramps.

Project Location:

I-89 Northbound:  Beginning in the Town of Bethel at mile marker 25.324 and extending northerly along Interstate 89 for a distance of 11.576 miles to mile marker 36.900 in the Town of Brookfield.  The project also encompasses the Exit 4 interchange. 

Project Scope:

Work to be performed under this project includes, guardrail repair, surface preparation involving patching, pot hole repair, pavement milling and paving along and other highway related items.

It is anticipated that the majority of the work will occur during typical day time hours.  The project is part of a larger composite contract with the Bethel-Brookfield IM 089-1(73) resurfacing project which is located on the southbound portion of I-89.

Project Timeline:

The project will begin construction activities in the spring of 2026 and will conclude in the fall of 2026.

Project Location:

I-89 Southbound: Beginning in the Town of Waterbury at mile marker 63.000 and extending northerly along Interstate 89 for a distance of 15.600 miles to mile marker 78.600 in the Town of Richmond. The project also encompasses the limits of the Exit 10 and Exit 11 interchanges.   

Project Scope:

Work to be performed under this project includes, guardrail repair, surface preparation involving patching, pot hole repair, pavement milling and paving along and other highway related items.

It is anticipated that the majority of the work will occur during typical day time hours.  Work around areas around Exits 10 & 11 will be performed during night time hours.  This project terminates with the southern limits of the Montpelier-Waterbury IM 089-2(56) resurfacing project.which will be active in 2026.
