Project Location: Town of Londonderry in Windsor County on VT Route 100 over an unnamed tributary to the West River. The structure is located at MM 3.170, approximately 500-ft north of the intersection with TH 55 (Crescent Street).

The Londonderry ER P23-1(228) project involves replacement of the existing corrugated metal pipe with a new RC Box structure. The existing structure is a 48” diameter metal pipe. During recent storm events, the pipe was insufficient to carry the flow which resulted in overtopping and damage to the roadway. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing undersized pipe culvert at this location with a larger precast reinforced concrete box culvert. The approach roadways and roadway over the proposed structure will be reconstructed.

During construction, VT-100 at the project location will be closed. Traffic will be maintained on an offsite detour. The duration of the detour will be determined at the end of the Final Design Phase. The State-signed detour is as follows: VT Route 100 N towards Londonderry, to VT Route 30 N, to VT Route 11 E, back to VT Route 100 N (17 miles end-to-end). See map below.
