Replacement of Bridge #7 on VT 100A in Plymouth at MM 3.258 due to VT23-1. DDIR-D3-VT100A-BR7.
Project Location: Town of Plymouth in Windsor County on VT Route 100A over Pinney Hollow Brook. The bridge is located approximately 3.1 miles north of VT Route 100.
The Plymouth Bridge 7 project involves replacement of the existing single span concrete T-beam structure. The existing bridge was built in 1945, and reconstructed in 1975. It has a length of 32 feet. The structure currently has a deck rating of 5 (fair), superstructure rating of 5, and substructure rating of 5. Abutment 1 has crack on downstream side under beam one. The gap has been filled with spray form and measured at ~7/8”. Abutment 1, bays 1 & 2 have heavy saturation with some rust staining. Beam one has spalling near abutment two. Two other beams have cracking with rust staining. Concrete slab has some spalling along the fascia. Abutment end walls, wingwalls, and abutment footings all have cracking with efflorescence.
