NH PS24(3) Hartford

Resurfacing along US 5 on the NHS portion between mm 2.81 to mm 3.875.

Project Location: Beginning on US-5 in the Town of Hartford, at mile marker 2.810 (at the intersection of the on ramps for I-91 South and I-89) and extending easterly for 1.065 miles and ending at mile marker 3.875 (at the intersection of N Main St/Hartford Ave.).

Project Description: Work will consist of coarse milling the existing pavement to a 2-1/4” depth, then placing a 1/2” lift of Type IVS pavement to level the road surface, followed but a 1-3/4” lift of Type IIIS pavement as the final wearing surface. Additionally, some guardrail work will be performed to repair and replaced damaged sections to bring full runs into compliance with the current standards. Finally, shoulder berms that have built up will be removed to facilitate better drainage from the road surface, and some ditching work may be performed to further aid in drainage.

Note: This project will be part of a composite contract with the Hartford STP PS24(2) project, which will pave the non-National Highway System (NHS) portions of US Route 5 and Hartford NHG SGNL(60) signal project at the intersection of N. Main Street and Hartford Avenue.
