Project Location: 

Northfield-Berlin STP PS24(1): Beginning in Northfield at VT Route 12 at MM 4.844 (near Sherman Ave) and extending northerly along VT Route 12 for a distance of 8.091 miles and ending in Berlin at MM 6.676 at the Montpelier City Highway Limits.

The project also begins on Montpelier Junction State Highway at MM 0.006 (at the intersection of US Route 2) and extends northerly along Montpelier State Highway for a distance of 0.687 miles to MM 0.693. Also includes 0.081 miles of connecting approaches.

Project Scope:

Work to be performed under these projects includes coarse-milling bituminous pavement, resurfacing the existing highway with a leveling and wearing course, pavement markings, guardrail, drainage improvements, signs and other highway related items.  The project also include resurfacing and re-striping of the Montpelier park & ride and will include geometric changes to the intersection of Chandler Hill Road in the Town of Berlin.

Northfield-Berlin STP PS24(1) resurfacing project will be contracted with Montpelier NH PS24(12) resurfacing project which is located on US Route 2.

Project Timeline:

The project will begin construction in the spring months of 2024 and end during the fall months of 2024.
