Intersection improvements at US7/Old Hollow Rd./Stage Rd., to add a new traffic signal and other highway related items.
Project Location: This project is located on US Route 7 at the inersection of Old Hollow Road and Stage Road in Ferrisburgh.
Project Description: This project consists of installing a new traffic signal, a new pedestrian crossing on US Route 7, and a new sidewalk to connect to Town facilities. The project area will also be repaved along with new pavement markings and signage associated with the improvements.
Traffic Impacts: Traffic impacts will be minimal for this project as a majority of the work can be done off alignment of the roadway. The majority of the construction will be completed during the day and any interruptions to traffic flow will be made clear with the use of flaggers and/or uniformed traffic officers. Paving operations and any other activities that require closing traffic down to one-way alternating flow will be completed at night between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM. Safe access will be maintained for all businesses and commercial drives during business hours, and the contractor will coordinate with residential or other properties if any work will require short-term access restrictions.
