Project Location: Milemarker .030 on Mallets Bay Ave in Winooski

The Winooski STP 5100(14) project will replace the rail, ties and concrete panel surface. The existing crossing is 63 feet long and 13 feet wide. The crossing surface and ties are all in poor condition.

The maintenance of traffic options considered included road closure with an offsite detour, phased construction and maintaining traffic on the existing road while replacing the ties, rail and concrete surface panels. Based on cost, availability of detour route options and minimizing impacts to ROW a detour was chosen as the best method for traffic control.

Target Construction Schedule: April 19, 2024 - Spring 2025
