Remediation of rock cut #115 located in Waterbury on US 2 at twn mm 0.67 WB.
The Waterbury STP 0284(31) is the stabilization of a rockcut approximately 375 feet in length and 220 feet high with a bench at approximately 110 feet high along US Route 2, adjacent to Interstate 89 Northbound. The proposed scope will be to install a hybrid barrier/passive drape which will catch rock, as it falls, and allowing it to drop safely to a catchment zone at the bottom of the rockcut.
Traffic impacts will be evaluated as design progresses.
