INSTALLATION OF A NEW TRAFFIC SIGNAL AT THE US7/TH7 (SEVERANCE RD.)/TH9 (BLAKELY RD.), INCLUDING MAST ARMS AND ADDITIONAL LANES.

Project Location: The intersection of U.S. Routes 2/7, Blakely Road and Severance Road in Colchester.

Project Description: The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) is improving the intersection to enhance mobility and safety of all users. Improvements include a new traffic signal to update the existing system and the roadway will be widened on all four approaches to accomodate new turn lanes, wider shoulders, and designated bicycle lanes.  Pedestrian facilities and dedicated public transit facilities will also be included.
